After one year in Germany, 21 highly motivated IT-Specialists successfully achieved the advanced IT-Training in the framework of the InWEnt programme “Business Related IT Consultancy”. The objective of the technical part of the programme was to prepare the young African IT-Specialists for their professional activities as consultants and trainers in their home countries. The training covered a rich variety of topics each taught by recognised experts at a state-of-the-art level. The leading thread throughout the twelve-month programme was the use of open source solutions (OSS) which are believed to avoid costly commercial software while having a similar or even better performance – a significant advantage for the African partners.
