Office Bearers
- The office bearers of IT@AB shall comprise The Chairperson and The Vice-Chairperson who shall not combine their portfolios with any other board portfolios, and shall not constitute country representations. In addition the board will include the immediate past Chairperson, a Chairperson from each company owned by the IT@AB network and sector coordinators. Countries not represented on the board in any position other than chair, vice chair and company board shall elect one representative per country to sit on the management board of IT@AB. Those countries that have to elect representatives must elect with the assistance of the IT@AB elections office do so within 21 days of holding the elections.
- Sector coordinators shall be appointed by the Board on the basis of a competency-based adjudicated process and shall remain in office for a period of two years, but can be renewed on re-application
- The Chairperson of IT@AB shall come from a country other than the one hosting the Secretariat
- The Office Bearers shall be elected for a 2-year term of office by the Annual General Meeting but shall be eligible for re-election at subsequent Annual General Meetings
- The chairperson shall not serve more than one term but is eligible for re-election to the office of chairperson only after three terms have elapsed
- Election of Office Bearers shall be staggered such that half are subject to election each year, provided that the members shall have the power at an Annual General Meeting to elect an Office Bearer to fill any additional vacancy created during the course of the year
- The Office Bearer’s terms of office shall be deemed to expire at the conclusion of the second Annual General Meeting following that which elected them
- The Executive Secretary shall be an ex officio member of the Management Board and shall act as the Secretariat to the Management Board
