The Centre is responsible for the co-ordination of Information Technology. And supports a databank as a resource for UNAM’s administration staff and students. It maintains the entire university information in the form of Relational Data Base Management System (RDBMS). The center comprises a networking system with E-mail and Internet Facilities for the UNAM Community. All other nine centre’s of UNAM across the country is connected by Digicon VPN lines to the main campus. The Centre also gives short courses for the UNAM staff on IT related topics. It also provides the support service for Computer related problems for the UNAM employees. IT also serves the general public in capacity building progammes.
