Information is at the heart of every modern business
After almost one year of continuous training in Germany, the 21 participants of the it@ab 2005 “Business Related IT Consultancy” programme presented their e-project results at the end of the Face to Face Phase in Freiburg.
The main aim of the e-project was to:
create self sustained projects and solutions for the development of IT business in the home countries. Gain technical skills by using Open Source Software and programming tools like Python, PHP, Zope or Plone. Increase their skills to present a solution to a client. Each IT-Specialist brought an own e-project from his home institution, and completed the project during the it@ab programme. The e-project presentations showcased these ambitious projects, convincing prototypes and innovative solutions. The focus on using Open Source Software made it possible to avoid costly commercial software without compromising the performance. The 21 IT-Specialists presented a enormous variety of projects in different fields of:

The IT-Specialists themselves voted four projects as “Best e-projects 2005”. We congratulate the winners:

The further development and success of the e-projects will be a visible sign for the sustainability of the projects and the success of the parent company and the important role of the it@ab network.
